He was predeceased by: his mother Sandra Fleury Barney; his wife Julie Barney; his siblings, Scott Barney and Kimberly Barney; and his grandparents, Leo, Lillian Fleury, O. H. and Viola Barney.
He is survived by: his father O. H. "Ozzie" Barney II of Kentucky; his girlfriend Heidi Balcom of Owls Head; his daughter Cheyenne Barney of Plattsburgh; his stepdaughter Megan Gardner of Massachusetts; and his siblings, Christine Barney of Connecticut, Renee Kahle of Florida and Skip Barney of Florida. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
