He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Nye and Oscar Nye. He is survived by: his significant other Rose Marie Knecht; his children, Melissa Smith Goodwin, Lucinda Newell (David) and Jeffery Nye; his sisters, Deb Lieby (Doug), Linda Nye and Darlene Nye; and his pets, Josh and Amos. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 2 nieces, and 1 great niece.
