He was predeceased by: his parents, Lynn Smith and Bessie Smith (Hackett); and his siblings, Doris, Jenny, Charles, Barbara, Bertha and Ruth.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Smith (Doty); and his children, Terri Ann Larnard (Thomas), Kathleen Moser (Ross Joscelyn), Robert Smith Jr. (JoAnn) and Patricia Carman (Chip). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
