She was predeceased by: her husband Richard "Dick" Carmel; her sister Aloha Engert; and her parents, Clark Calhoun and Mary Calhoun (Newman). She is survived by: her children, Mary Jo Carmel (Scott Carlton), Richard Carmel (Tammy) and Wanda Carmel; her grandchildren, Ben Carmel, Cassie Gleason (Anthony), Alisha Carlton (Adam Hopkins) and Kyler Carlton (Elizabeth Labombard); her great grandchildren, Kayden Carlton, Emma Hopkins, Russell Hopkins, Xander Gleason and Lily Gleason; and her sister Sharon Calhoun. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
