He was predeceased by : his parents, John DeVuyst and Addie DeVuyst; his sister Barbara Arthurton; and his son Geoffrey DeVuyst. He is survived by : his wife Sharon DeVuyst; his brother Douglas DeVuyst; his son Kevin DeVuyst (Renee); his daughter-in-law Sonya DeVuyst; his granddaughters, Morgan Bessey (Peter) and Sarah DeVuyst; and his great grandchild Liam DeVuyst.
