He was predeceased by : his father Roberto Hernandez. He is survived by : his significant other Betsy Bove Hernandez; his children, Ty and Bailey Hernandez; his grandson Brooks Hernandez; his mother Myrtha Ortiz Negrón; his mother-in-law Jane Bachison; his siblings, Lisette Hernandez Couture, Heidi Bove Berrios, Wendy Kostrzebski, Tammy Bove, Amy Hernandez, Danny Hernandez, Jeffrey Bove, Paul Kostrzebski and Bart Couture; and his close friend Bob Freeland. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish (5823 Walworth Rd, Ontario, NY 14519). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
