It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Joan Shuttleworth (Palmyra, New York), who passed away on April 8, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Markulis and Ruth Markulis; and her siblings, Mary Choi, Emil Markulis, Tony Markulis and John Markulis.

She is survived by: her daughters, Margaret Blythe (Michael), Amy Roach (Michael Bowen) and Julie Roach (Albert Yeh); her grandchildren, Aiden Bowen and Lula Bowen; her siblings, Pete Markulis (Kim Choi) and Carole McGowan; and her siblings-in-law, Ben Choi and Ruth Ann Markulis. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
