We are sad to announce that on May 24, 2025, at the age of 80, Alfred S. Sgroi of Parish, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Sr. Sgroi and Margaret Sgroi (Schmidt); his brother Daniel Sgroi; and his friend Howie Snyder. He is survived by: his pet Queenie; his close friend Mike Noto; his cousin Anthony; his wife Dianne L. Youmans of Agatha's Church; his children, Frank Sgroi of Parish and Heather Sgroi of Munnsville; his siblings, Frank Sgroi, Jr. of Rochester and Marie Cline Lynam; his siblings-in-law, William Lynam of Rochester and Cynthia Sgroi; and his grandchildren, Dominick Eddy and Greggory Eddy.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc. (201 James St, Canastota, NY 13032). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Agatha's Church (329 N Peterboro St, Canastota, NY 13032).
In his memory, contributions may be made to Wanderers' Rest Humane Association, Inc., PO Box 535, Canastota, NY, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
