He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dertinger and Harriet Dertinger (Migge); his brothers, John Dertinger and Thomas Dertinger; and also, Michael Will, Dwight Edlund Sr., Barbara and John Riley.
He is survived by: his significant other Susan Booth; his siblings, Doris Doherty (Lenny) of Congers, NY, Jeanne Urban (Tom) of West Springfield, MA, Rosemary Stryker (James) of Seneca, SC, Alice Gass of Highland Falls, NY, Kathryn Duffy (Eddie) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Nancy Barron (Gregg) of Tampa, FL, Laura Dertinger of Pearl River, NY and Paul Dertinger (Terri) of Pearl River, NY.; his son Alex; and his grandchildren, Michael, Riley and Hunter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc. (100 Franklin Ave, Pearl River, NY 10965). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 at 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church (120 Kings Hwy, Tappan, NY 10983). A burial will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at the Gethsemane Cemetery.
