It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maria Loy of Peekskill, New York, who passed away on July 12, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Maria may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Handler and Gertrude Handler (Panther); her husband Peter Loy; and her brother Peter Handler. She is survived by: her niece Ingrid; her great-niece Christine; and her great-nephew Eric.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Edward F Carter Funeral Home (41 Grand St, Croton-On-Hudson, NY 10520). A prayer will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at the Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Church.
