He is survived by: his nephew Gabriel Uzunian; his godchildren, Adrian and Mark Uzunian; Beatriz Uzunian.
His contributions to radiology were honored with numerous awards, including the Gold Medal from the Society of Abdominal Radiology, an organization he served as President from 1998–1999.
