He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Swarthout and Nina Swarthout; and his brother Alan Swarthout. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Swarthout (Josselyn); his sister Linda Swarthout-Eaves (Jim); his daughters, Melanie Corbett (Joshua) and Caroline Swarthout (Eric Burden); and his grandchildren, Grace Swarthout, Chloe, Domanic Corbett, Liam Miller and Liliana Erskine.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Weldon Funeral Home (102 E Main St, Penn Yan, NY 14527). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 12:15 PM at the Second Milo Cemetery (1991 2nd Milo Rd, Penn Yan, NY 14527). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at the same location.
