With sadness, we share the passing of George O. Jensen of Penn Yan, New York. George, born on March 6, 1937, passed away on September 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember George for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. George’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences he brought to the world.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Jensen; his children, Jeffrey Jensen (Jennifer), Daren Jensen (Bonnie) and Melody Jensen Kissel (Jerry); and his sister Elaine Kreiling (Ronald). He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 21st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Penn Yan First Baptist Church (224 Main St, Penn Yan, NY 14527). A reception will be held on Saturday, November 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Penn Yan Elks Lodge #1722 (133 Main St, Penn Yan, NY 14527).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in George's name to the Humane Society of Yates County (Shelter of Hope).
