She was predeceased by : her parents, Ole Nelson and Josephine Nelson; her husband George T. Slocum; her daughter Jennifer Lynn Slocum; and her brothers, Willard and Paul Nelson.

She is survived by : her stepchildren, Joan Barkley (Ronald), Virginia Slocum Colf and George Slocum (Denise); and her brother Floyd E. Nelson. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
