Marilyn R. Parmelee Obituary
We announce the death of Marilyn R. Parmelee of Penn Yan, New York, who passed away on August 21, 2026, at the age of 80. Marilyn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Dixon and Flossie Dixon (Burgess); her significant other Howard Sisson, Sr.; her son Howie Sisson; and her siblings, Elnora Lightner, Jerry Dixon, Charlie Dixon, Jim Dixon and Dick Dixon.
She is survived by: her son Jamie (Erika); her daughter-in-law Wendy Sisson; her siblings, Janet Smart (Doug) of Penn Yan, Penny Putman (Frank) of Dundee, Elsie Penaloca (Joe) and Don Dixon (Kim) of Penn Yan; and her grandchildren, Samantha Marsh (Michael), Derek Sisson (Brandi), Ashley Frey (Bryan) of Penn Yan, Susan Pero of Chicago, IL, Richard Sisson of Chicago, IL and Corina Stockmaster (Chris) of Hamilton. She is also survived by five great grandchildren; and by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Penn Yan Moose Lodge (301 E Elm St, Penn Yan, NY 14527).
