We are sad to announce that, on January 29, 2021, at the age of 92, Merrill Race (Penn Yan, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Race and Oral Race; his sons, Jon Race and David Snyder; his brother Donald Race; and his siblings-in-law, James Rockwell and Connie Palmisano.

He is survived by: his wife Patty Race (Barkley); his children, Gary Race of Penn Yan, Merrill Race (Patricia) of North Carolina, Brian Race (Veronica) of Bradford, Valeria Corson (Chuck) of North Carolina, Tina Erskine (Steven Rath) of Canandaigua and Milton Race (Brenda) of Geneva; his daughter-in-law Lisa Race of Penn Yan; his sister Norma Lunney (Bill) of Lyons; and his sister-in-law Anna Race of Penn Yan. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations in his memory may be made to Benton Volunteer Fire Dept., 932 Rt. 14A, Penn Yan, NY 14527.
