With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Phillip J. Sidney (Penn Yan, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 5, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan Sidney and Cecilia Dutcher Sidney; his son James Phillip Sidney; and his siblings, Elliott Sidney, Margaret Sidney Merryfield and Barbara Sidney-Douglas.

He is survived by: his wife Mary McNeff; his daughter Molly; his son-in-law Jon Pack; his granddaughters, Riley Imogene and Cecilia Althea Pack; and his siblings, Allan Sidney Jr. and Mary Isabelle Sidney.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a tribute gift be made to the National Parks Foundation at nationalparks.org/give or to the Lewy Body Dementia Association at lbda.org/donate.
