He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Bennett, and Esther Bennett, Sr.; and his siblings, Charles Bennett, Samuel Bennett Jr., Irene Layland, Edward Bennett Sr., John Bennett, Grace Mitchell and Betty Ingalls.
He is survived by: his wife Elsie; his children, Lisa McCrary (Douglas) and Chad Bennett; his grandsons, Kevin McCrary (Elena) and Nathan McCrary; and his siblings, Geraldine Harrison, Harold Bennett (Marilyn), William Bennett (Sharon) and David Bennett.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Walter E. Baird & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. (300 W Naples St, Wayland, NY 14572). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
