He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Augusta Dobson Hills and Robert Clifford Hills; his stepparents, Ezra Lehman and Alice Hills; his brother Ronald (Imelda Hills); his brother-in-law Robert Kiernan; and his stepsiblings, Pauline (Richard Lyndaker), Charlotte (Carl Clifton), Roselba (Donald Combs), Donald Lehman, Beryl Lehman and Kermit (Anne Lehman).
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Gertrude Butler; his children, Steven Hills (Darlene Depo) and Linda; his son-in-law William LaCount (Plattsburgh); his sons, Michael (Brenda Hills) and Mark (Karen Hills); and his grandchildren, William LaCount Jr. (Plattsburgh), Teresa, Douglas Frary of Brandon, VT, Ashley, Andrew Miller of Brighton, CO, Rachel Terlizzi of Stuart, FL, Christopher, Felicia Hills (Plattsburgh), Ryan, Emilie Pickering of St. Augustine, FL, Kristi, Joe Brennan of Carthage, NY, Lyssa LaCount of Rochester, NY, Marissa, Randy Barcelo of Miami, FL, Alexis Hills of Schenectady, NY, Michaela Hills (Megan Dukes), Nathan Hills of Las Vegas, NV and Noah Hills of Rensselaer, NY. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.
