It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Sharrow (Peru, New York), who passed away on May 28, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Dorothy may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Trost and Lillian Trost (Barbell); and her husband Eugene Sharrow of Peter's Church. She is survived by: her son Joel; her daughter-in-law Patty Sharrow of South Hero, Vermont; her grandsons, Kevin (Jess Sharrow) and Adam (Elyssia Sharrow); and her great grandchildren, Logan of Carly, EJ and Wyatt.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Augustine's Church (3035 N Main St, Peru, NY 12972). A committal service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Augustine's Cemetery (3035 N Main St, Peru, NY 12972).
