Leeward Babbie Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leeward Babbie (Peru, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 27, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyrille Babbie and Bertha Babbie (LaValley). He is survived by: his sisters, Rita Rae Laurin (late Walter) and Audrey Falcon (late Richard); his wife Eunice Babbie; his children, D. Lee Ledesma, David Babbie (Karen), Sheila Babbie and Todd Babbie; his grandchildren, Alexandria Ledesma Doiron (Chip), Eric Babbie, Jonathan Babbie (Erica) and Taylor Miner; his great grandchildren, Akahia, Zoe, Bernard, Frederick, Olivia, George and Coleman; and his stepsons, Bobby Yakey (Linda) and Danny Yakey (late Scott Yakey).
