With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Spencer Atkinson of Peru, New York, born in Plattsburgh, New York, who passed away on April 12, 2024 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Donald Atkinson and Geraldine "Barb" Atkinson (Begor); his siblings, Brenda Atkinson, Kurt Atkinson and Gina Atkinson; his siblings-in-law, Donna Atkinson, Jack Siskavich and David Collins; his nephew Joel Atkinson; and his niece Trina Moulton-Siskavich.

He is survived by : his daughters, Billie Jo James and Torrie Atkinson-Waldron (Mark); his grandchildren, Meagan Waldron, Avery Waldron, Sean Waldron and Hayley James; his siblings, Lee Atkinson (Leticia), Donna Collins, Barbara Moriarty (Patrick), Darcy Siskavich (Steve Byrne), Rex "Wade" Atkinson (Karen), Timmy Atkinson (Dorothy), Deborah Atkinson, Raymond Atkinson (Mary Jo) and Jill Myers (Keith); and his close friends, Lonnie Lautenschuetz, Tommy Gillett and Jeff Alexander.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home Inc. (294 Mannix Rd, Peru, NY 12972). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.

Donations in his memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country or the North Country Honor Flight.
