With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Beverly K. Sheldon (Petersburgh, New York), born in Watervliet, New York, who passed away on July 4, 2025 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Beverly K. Sheldon to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph N. Legenbauer and Katherine Legenbauer (Palubniak); and her nephews, Craig Gutermuth and Gary E. Hine. She is survived by: her husband Frank S. Sheldon; her daughters, Susan K. Sheldon of Andover, MA and Jennifer L. Sheldon (Thomas Flannery) of Holmdel, NJ; her grandchildren, Katherine S. Smith of Nathaniel, S. S, Smith of Matthew, S. S, John Michael M. Flannery and Megan M. Flannery; her sister Karen Lombardi (Legenbauer) of Marco Island, FL; and her sibling's children, John Lombardi, Samantha Weisman, Alan Gutermuth, Carol G. Anderson, Barbara H. Peterson, James R. Adriance, Samantha A. Hall, Darryl Riedel, Jeffrey, Mark and Lori Sheldon.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thomas M. Barber Funeral Home (66 Armsby Rd, Petersburgh, NY 12138). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 pm, In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Petersburgh Rescue Ambulance Squad, PO Box 164, Petersburgh, NY 12138 or the Petersburgh Public Library, 69 Main Street, Petersburgh, NY 12138.
