He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Smith and Edith Wilson Smith; and his wife Nancy Smith. He is survived by: his children, Hal Smith Jr. (Andrea DeCola) of Newark, Karen "Kendra" Brigham of Skaneateles, Twins Paul Smith (Paula) of Phelps, David Smith (Kimberly) of Phelps, Gary Smith of Owego, Alen Norsen, Nelson Norsen and Marie Young; his grandchildren, Seth, Brock, Paige, Joshua, Zachary, Noah, Breanna, Haley, Wyatt, Zach, Meghan, Tyler, Colton and Tim; his great grandchildren, Natalie, Jaxson, Brayden, Judah, Carter, Liam, Emily, James Edward and Jean-Luc; and his siblings, Harvey Smith Jr. of Canandaigua and Phyllis Maslyn (Sonny) of Phelps.
