He was predeceased by: his parents, Loretta Cooley (Cowley) and William J. Cooley; and his brother James P. Cooley. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Madelyn of Natalie, TJ, Loretta, Patrick, Elizabeth, Erin, Kate, Anna and Claire; his brother Joe; his wife Jeanne Cooley (Bubar); his children, Dr. Jeanine Ronan (Tim), Dr. Patrick Cooley (Susan), Mary Sullivan (Christopher) and Dr. Raymond Cooley (Laura); his grandchildren, Timothy Jr. "TJ" Ronan, Patrick Jr., Susanna Cooley, Sean Sullivan, Katelyn and Nina Cooley; and his brothers, Joseph Cooley (late Maureen) and David Cooley (late Donna). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to the Dr. Barbara Friedes Memorial Fund at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
