We announce the death of James C. Fritzen (Phoenix, New York), who passed away on August 24, 2026, at the age of 82. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. James will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew James will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. James’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Fritzen and Irene Fritzen. He is survived by: his brother John Fritzen (Maryanne); and his nephews, John C. Fritzen (Lori) and Matthew. He is also survived by two great-nieces and a great-nephew and many cousins.
A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Stephen 's Church (469 Main St, Phoenix, NY 13135).
