He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin John and Margaret L. Ackerman (Burger); and his sisters, Sylvia Bornheimer (George), Sandy Largey (Dennis) and Thelma Remington.
He is survived by: his wife Justyne Ackerman (Milks); his sons, Anthony Milks (Jessica) of Endicott, Nicholas Ackerman of Pike, Joshua Ackerman (Morgan) of Silver Springs and Jacob Ackerman (Nicole Elwell) of Castile; his grandchildren, Michael and Griselda Milks; and his parents-in-law, Raymond G. and Sandra L. Milks of Arcade. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the W.'s. Davis, Inc. Funeral Home (358 W Main St, Arcade, NY 14009). A memorial service was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the W. S. Davis Funeral Home (358 W Main St, Arcade, NY 14009).
