She was predeceased by: her husband James Bruyn; her sister Dawn Conklin; and her parents, Myrtle Conklin and LeRoy Conklin. She is survived by: her sister Denise Conklin; her sons, James Bruyn Jr. (Holly Wright) and Roy Bruyn (Kathleen Warren); her granddaughter Arielle Sewell (Alex); and her great grandchildren, Tristan and Trent Smith. She is also survived by many cousins, friends.

The family has suggested memorial contributions be made to the Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties.
