Richard A. Smith Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Richard A. Smith of Pine Bush, New York. Richard, born on April 15, 1933, passed away on July 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Edith M. Smith; his wife Mary Smith; his sons, Michael Smith and John Smith; his grandsons, John "Jack" Smith and Brandon Boniface; and his siblings, Joan Bilyeu, Don Smith and Bob Smith.

He is survived by: his friend Bud Marl; his son Richard "RJ" Smith (Elizabeth Smith); his daughter-in-law Judy O'Neill; his grandchildren, Meryl Smith (Matt Rivera), Ryan Boniface (Josh Taylor-Boniface) and Bridget Boniface; and his caregiver Yolunda Kellior. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pine Bush Fire Department in Richard's honor.
