With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard E. Peterson of Pine City, New York, who passed away on October 5, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Richard had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Richard may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Erick W. Peterson and Marietta Sherkus. He is survived by: his sons, Scot Erick Peterson (John Laffey) of Warwick, RI and Matthew Jon Peterson (Leona Watson) of Corning, NY; his granddaughter Ella Peterson; his sister Elizabeth "Betty" Ragan (Jonathan) of North Greenbush, NY; and his nieces and nephews, Elliot, Taylor and Blair.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Bampa's House (bampashouse.org) of Corning, NY in Dick's memory.
