He is survived by: his children, Andrea VanSteenkiste (Daniel) of Ray, MI and Derek Scheer of Stanfordville; his grandchildren, Amelia and Joshua VanSteenkiste; his sister Doreen "Dodie" Roome (Gary) of Hyde Park; and his significant other Susan Cassinelli of Beacon.
