In loving memory of Ruth R. Thomsen of Plattekill, New York, who departed this world on January 27, 2026 at the age of 92. Ruth leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruth R. Thomsen to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Rose and Violet Rose of Saratoga Springs, NY.; her daughter Judith Hart; and her siblings, Kenny Rose, Richie Rose and Harriette Weeden.

She is survived by: her husband John Thomsen; her sisters, June Varner of Nassau, NY and Beverly Kantrowitz of Hoosick Falls, NY; and her children, Bob Hansen of Louisville, KY, Dave Hansen of Garnerville, NY, Nick Amoroso of Valatie, NY, Tom Amoroso of Plattekill, NY and Kitty Retzlaff of Schenectady, NY.. She is also survived by five stepchildren, many nieces and nephews, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ruth's name may be made to Union Presbyterian Church.
