He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman and Lorraine; his siblings, Jane McLean, Rusty Powers, Leon Powers, Rosie Delisle and Mary Dubrey; and his grandson Kyren Powers.
He is survived by: his children, Shannon Powers (Joey), Chelsea LaPorte (Austin), Brandon Powers and Dylan Powers (Alisha); his siblings, Larry Powers (Christine), John Powers (Becky) and Shirley Bossick (Bruce); and his grandchildren, Grayson, Adalyn, Aislynn, Autumn, Ava Mae, Cameron, Ava Marie, Maverick, Tatum, Brynn, Adalaya, Landon and Miah. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the R. W. Walker Funeral Home (69 Court St, Plattsburgh, NY 12901). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 1:15 PM at the St. Peter's Cemetery South Catherine (4705 S Catherine St, Plattsburgh, NY 12901).
Donations in memory of Ernest may be made to the family to assist with funeral services.
