She was predeceased by : her parents, Hans Wellbrock and Anni Wellbrock; her stepfather Georg Wellbrock; her sister Christa; her nephew Joerg Hoepken of Germany; her son Erol M. Turk of Houston, TX; and her husband Bill (Bill).
She is survived by : her granddaughters, Lucia and Olivia of Portland, OR; her stepson Todd Kissam (Heather); her son Simon (Mark Kissam) of Bloomington, IN; her brother-in-law Frerke Hoepken; her nephew Cord Hoepken (Elena); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Katharina and Jan-Cord; her niece Petra (Peter Dammann); and her great-nephew Paul.
When they moved to New Russia, NY she worked at the Champlain National Bank, and in 1981 started work at the Bruce L. Crary Foundation in Elizabethtown from where she retired in 2004 as Executive Director. The Foundation Board especially valued her input and advocacy for the non-traditional student scholarship applicants whom she cared for as her own, following their path through education and beyond.
