She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Pugh and Katherine Pugh (Edwards). She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Bunnell; her children, Krista Brown (Garrett) and Robb Bunnell (Mike Lemley); her grandchildren, Alexandra, Garrett, Delaney Brown, Robert and Anna Lemley; and her siblings, Russell Pugh (Chris) and Ronald Pugh. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In honor of Karen's lifelong love of reading and her passion for literature, the family requests that donations in her memory be made to the Plattsburgh Public Library.
