He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Ashline and Alfreda Ashline (Soucy); his wife Ruth Caswell; and his brothers, Lawrence Ashline and Robert Ashline.

He is survived by: his children, Susan Trombley (Steve), Carolyn Johnson (Mark) and Richard Ashline (Dawn); his brother Victor Ashline; his grandchildren, Emily (Patrick), Stephanie (Mark), Pam (Robert), Bethany (Joseph), Zachary (Casey) and Alyssa (Bryton); and his great grandchildren, Ava, Luke, Ella, Jacob, Theodore, Mackenzie, Charlotte and Lorelai. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Donations in his memory may be made to the VFW post 125.
