Leona Quinn Obituary

We announce the death of Leona Quinn of Plattsburgh, New York, who passed away on October 17, 2026, at the age of 96. Leona will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawson Christy and Harriet Christy (Triebsch); and her husband John S. Quinn Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Shauneen Noel (Andy), Maureen Ryan (Tom), John Quinn (Sue) and Colleen Brust (Bob); her grandchildren, Carissa Gaine (John), Johanna Johnson (Andy), Alexandra Ali (Joe), Kendall Noel, Shane Ryan (Emily), Thomas Ryan, Keegan Ryan (Casey), Shannon Ryan, John Patrick Quinn (Brooke), Stephen Quinn, Matthew Quinn, Robert Brust (Caitlin), Nicholas Brust (Samantha), John Brust and Luke Brust; her great grandchildren, John, Ann Gaine, Sutton, Alden Ryan, Carter, Alexander Johnson, Elizabeth Brust, Scottie Ryan and Harper Quinn; her daughter Susan Pearl Byther (Doug); her close friend Richard Molholsky; her brother Lawson Christy (Elaine); her sister-in-law Sandra D. Quinn; her brother Carl Christy; her in-laws, Thomas R. Quinn, Sr. and Margaret Q. Kennedy; Martha, Katie and Beth. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the R. W. Walker Funeral Home (69 Court St, Plattsburgh, NY 12901). A celebration of life was held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. John's Church (7 Margaret St, Plattsburgh, NY 12901).
