It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lorraine Willis of Plattsburgh, New York, born in Albany, New York, who passed away on October 31, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Bill; and her parents, Joseph Fontaine and Blanche Fontaine. She is survived by: her children, Maureen Mitchell of Plattsburgh, Michael Willis of Fern Lake, Diane Mehrman of Jay, Brian Willis of West Warwick, RI and Kevin Willis of Wilmington; and her grandchildren, Matthew Miller (Maureen), Denise Fox, Danielle Crawford (Michael), John, Justin Mehrman (Diane), Adam Willis (Brian), Cameron and Tyler Willis (Kevin). She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Heidrick-Zaumetzer Funeral Home (3 College St, Au Sable Forks, NY 12912). A Mass will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holy Name Church (10 Church Ln, Au Sable Forks, NY 12912). A burial will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Holy Name Cemetery.
