She was predeceased by: her husband Floyd G. Johnston; and her son Michael B. Johnston. She is survived by: her son Stephen A. Johnston (Catherine); her grandchildren, Kara J. Johnston, Kyle S. Johnston and Kristin N. Johnston; her cousin Melissa Ashburn; and her sister-in-law Shirley Iodence (Janet Bradley).
