It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald J. Lautenschuetz of Plattsburgh, New York, who passed away on November 9, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Ronald may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Lautenschuetz and Theresa Lautenschuetz (Cayea); his wife Geraldine A. Myers; and his brothers, Gary, Roy and Roger Lautenschuetz.
He is survived by: his sons, Lonnie Lautenschuetz (Cecilia) and Lance Lautenschuetz (Lisa); and his siblings, Paul Lautenschuetz (Gail), Karen Watson (David) and Jean Pelkey (Thomas). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the R. W. Walker Funeral Home (69 Court St, Plattsburgh, NY 12901). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Church of the Assumption (78 Clinton St, Redford, NY 12978).
