It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sophia G. Katinas of Plattsburgh, New York, born in Ottawa, Ontario, who passed away on October 15, 2023, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her parents, Tony Poveda and Maria Poveda (Doxas); her daughter Maria McCann (Ricky); her grandchildren, Elena, Nicholas, Gavin, Maddox and Eve; her siblings, Christina Lane (Katinas), Jill Poveda (Beaudin) and Michael Poveda; her nieces and nephews, Sophia, Fiona, Tony, Billy, Christina and Olivia; and her uncle George Doxas. She is also survived by her beautiful daughter and grandchildren.
