He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Gaier and Florence Gaier (Keller); and his siblings, Georgia Threlkeld of Missouri, Norma Rudolph of Indiana and Clyde Gaier of California.
He is survived by: his wife Lucille Meyer; and his children, Delmos, Deryl, Lori and Dale. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren (all boys) and 6 great-grandchildren.
