He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Conklin and Kathryn Doyle Conklin; and his brother Melvin Conklin. He is survived by: his children, Pamela Owens of Pleasant Valley, Melissa Gilroy (Richard) of Pleasant Valley and John Conklin of Pine Plains; his grandsons, Bill Owens III, Dean Gilroy (Julia), Jon Gilroy and Tyler Owens (Arianya); his great grandchildren, Billy IV, Matthew, Elizabeth, Adam and Rose; his nephew Scott Conklin; his niece Teri Townson; and also Joy Phebus.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed at the Pleasant Valley Presbyterian Church or the Pleasant Valley Cemetery Association.
