He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Matra and Anna Matra (Lofaro); his former wife Phyllis Cusano; his siblings, Joseph and Elizabeth; and his wife Ida Day.
He is survived by: his children, Anna Esteves (Richard), Frank Matra (Estel) and Michael Matra (Joanna); his grandchildren, Sabrina, Richard, Christopher, Michael, Andrea, Jessica and Isabella; and his siblings, Annunziata, John, Rocco, Dominic, Angelo and Maria. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
