He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Mustich and Angelina Mustich (Serrilli); and his siblings, Louis, Anna Walsh, Luisa Gliatta, Celeste Farina, Peter, Joseph, Anthony and Angelo.

He is survived by: his children, Cathy Guy and James Jr.; and his daughter-in-law Margot. He is also survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
