With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Mary L. Coughlin of Pleasantville, New York, born in Jacksonville, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Veronica Flaherty and Herbert Flaherty; her brother Dennis Flaherty; her cousin Joanie Jenson; her son James Mato; and her stepson Miles Coughlin.
She is survived by: her husband Matthew'Buddy'Coughlin; her children, Richard Mato (Theresa Ryan), Maureen Jeffries (Gilbert Jeffries) and John Mato; her grandchildren, Spencer, Nathaniel Jeffries, Jamie, Christian, Brodie and Avery Mato; her siblings, Kathie Parker, James Flaherty and Patricia Flaherty; and her siblings-in-law, John Bowers, Theresa Bowers and Lynn Sullivan. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews and countless friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to Rosary Hill Home, the palliative care facility where she was so lovingly cared for during the last weeks of her life by the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne.
