She was predeceased by: her parents, Sperry W. Couch and Anna B. Couch (Graham); her former spouse Purley Simpson; her grandson Shane Simpson II; her brother William Couch; and her brother-in-law James Jolley.
She is survived by: her children, Shane H. Simpson (Robin B.), Linda L. Walts (Eric W.) and Stephen E. (Melissa); her grandchildren, Brandon Simpson, Anna Bassett, Robert Carlisle, Corey Walts, Kristen Frazier and Holly Ford; her siblings, Arthur and Linda Wiliams (John); and her sister-in-law Carolyn Couch (Virginia). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
