It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kathleen Weis of Poestenkill, New York, born in Troy, New York, who passed away on August 13, 2025, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Joyce Cossack (Mosher); her brothers, Thomas Cossack, David Murray and Nana; and her aunts, Georgeann and Howie.
She is survived by: her father James Murray; her stepfather Peter Cossack; her children, William "Billy" Weis (Yvonne) and Melinda "Mindy" Mason (Patrick); the father of her children William Weis (Colleen Knaupp); her siblings, James Murray (Charlene), Michelle Malatesta (Thomas), Lisa Sutton (Chris), Susan McAvoy (Eddie), Sean Murray (Nicole) and Sara Murray; her goddaughter Jessica Quinlan (Cameron); and her cousin Donna Gould. She is also survived by sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Northeastern New York, 1003 New Loudon Rd, Cohoes, NY 12047, in Kathy's memory.
