He was predeceased by : his parents, Eugenio Balboa Meis and Albina Treinta Doeste; his sisters, Laura and Genoveva; and his nieces, Berta and Geni.

He is survived by : his wife Carmen Balboa; his children, Maria Isabel Gil (Jose) of Cos Cob, CT and Gene Balboa, MD (Diane) of Armonk, NY; his sister Albina Balboa Treinta of Spain; his grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Steven Gil, Genevieve and Philip Balboa; and his great grandchildren, Andrea and Damian Gil. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Craft Memorial Home, Inc. (40 Leicester St, Port Chester, NY 10573). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Parish of Saint John Bosco (260 Westchester Ave, Port Chester, NY 10573).
