He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward H. Sturm and Rita A. Herzog. He is survived by: his son Edward Sturm III; and his grandson Edward B. Sturm IV.
The military honors was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Esopus Town Hall Community Center (1 Town Hall Way, Ulster Park, NY 12487). Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home (27 Smith Ave, Kingston, NY 12401). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Esopus Town Hall (1 Town Hall Way, Ulster Park, NY 12487).
